Your rank and your score are displayed beneath your name. Clicking on any of the rectangle will allow you to see the complete ranking and profile of any player in the game. On the bottom right of the game window (B) is the game status or stage. The chat window (C) is active during the game. The trivia questions are displayed in the center of the window (D) and the blue player status (E) tells you if you are playing or watching the others play a point. The window controls (F) provide access to Help, Back to Lobby, and control over the audio.

STAGES OF THE GAME

The game consists of three phases:

I. Base Selection – the game chooses a color for you, places your kingdom on the map and gives you 1000 points.

II. Territory Grab – you will fight to acquire territory by winning the trivia question battles.

III. Battle Rounds – there are three rounds of battle to obtain more territory and finally to try to destroy an opponents castle.

STAGE I. BASE SELECTION
In this stage, the game will select a base location randomly for each of the 3 players. The base is worth 1000 points.

THE GAME THEN STARTS WITH A NUMERICAL QUESTION
There are two types of questions, Numerical and Multiple Choice. A numerical question requires you to type in a number and hit the return key. An example of such a question would be “In what year was Pennsylvania founded?” You have to hurry, because the fastest right answer wins.

Multiple choice questions provide four possible choices that may answer the question. Select the answer you believe to be correct by clicking on it. If both players answer a multiple choice question correctly then a numerical question is given to decide the winner. If both players are equally correct in a numerical question, then the fastest answer determines the winner.

STAGE II - TERRITORY GRAB
In this phase of the game you will battle to occupy territory by answering numerical questions. The winner of each question conquers and occupies 2 territories. The runner up occupies 1 territory. You are limited to claiming adjacent territories only, except in the case where there are no more adjacent territories left. Once claimed, your new territories will be colored in to reflect their new owner. Each territory is worth 200 points and it takes 3 groups of question battles for all the territories on the US map to be claimed.

STAGE III - BATTLE ROUNDS
In order to further expand your territory and point total, the players go to war. There are 3 battle rounds that allow each player to attack once per round. The order of attack for the first two rounds are determined randomly for fairness and the last round is determined by the points of each. Attackers choose a territory to attack and then the attacker and defender are each asked the same multiple-choice question.
* The attacker wins if he gets the right answer and the defender does not.
* The defender wins if the attacker does not get the correct answer.
* If both attacker and defender get the right answer, the battle is decided by an additional, numeric question.

If the attacker wins, the contested territory is occupied along with 400 points, while the defender loses the territory and its point value. The territory is then worth 400 points to anyone else who may try to occupy it.

If the defender wins by getting the right answer, he gets a 100-point defense bonus.

During the 1st and 2nd battle rounds, only adjacent territories can be attacked. In the 3rd battle round any territories on the map may be targeted for attack. In addition, during the 2nd and 3rd battle rounds there is the option to attack an opponent's base.

ATTACKING A BASE
Wipe out an opponents base and you'll take all their territory! It's a lot harder than winning a regular battle thought. In order to successfully complete a Base Attack, the attacker must answer correctly in 3 consecutive question rounds. Each time the attacker answers correctly and the defender doesn't, one of the 3 base towers is destroyed. If this happens 3 times, all the towers are destroyed and the defending player is knocked out of the game. The winner then claims all the territory and total points of the defeated player's territory. However, If the attacker fails to answer a question or the defender answers correctly, the attack is repelled. While that attack may be over, any damage inflicted on the base is permanent and so further attacks may continue the destruction.

The only opportunity for the attacker to win points in a base attack is by successfully destroying the 3rd tower. One player may first destroy two towers, leaving the Castle vulnerable to attack from another player. Remember, the points and territory go to the attacker who destroys the third tower only.

THE END OF THE GAME & A LOOK AT THE RESULTS
Once the game is over, a Final Results window displays all the results of the game and your results to date. You can click on the tabs to the right (A) and see the information in the center of the screen (B). Click OK (C) to close the window and return to the Lobby where you can play some more.
